Requirements:

University Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or any science or engineering related disciplines.
PI System Certified Engineer.
At least 6 -8 years of experience in implementing or supporting the PI System or in providing Automation support services to the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
At least 2 years in managing project or support teams 5-10 staff.
Required Competences:
Good knowledge of the Exploration and Production business.
Excellent team working skills and strong influencing capability.
Drive, determination and ability to work independently and hold a highly positive attitude to the business in general and to application delivery in particular.
Knowledge in Business Analysis.
Skilled in Project Management.
Knowledge in IT/IM Business Partnering and Value Creation, business domain: Production Operations.
Skilled in Contract Management.

Responsibilities:

Principal Technical Expert for the PI System.
Representation:
Presents to the Major Contracts Board as Contract Holder for all contracts for the PI System services.
Company Representative for the PI System to 3rd Party Vendors and services staff in Shell.
Application Support Services, manage staff and services that deliver:
Support for all applications in the Real Time Applications Portfolio (7-10 applications) providing 24x7 support.
Direct First and Second line application support integrated with support services from Shell. Manage through the team 30 or more services staff in Shell and 3rd Parties.
License and Access Administration.
Define and direct around 2-3 operational or 1 tactical license contracts for 7-10 3rd party applications.
o Enforce license compliance, managing access control, on boarding, off boarding and compliance.
Deliver Real Time Applications Projects for Production and Engineering.
Participate in the separation of the PI System applications from the Shell network.
Direct the delivery of the remainder of the application portfolio ready for Production start up (10-20 applications).
Strategy and Planning.
Participate in preparing the 5 year AWP&B for applications projects.
Prepare operational plans for the Real Time Portfolio.
Prepare own part of the tactical (medium term) plans for applications projects and services.
Prepare team’s part of the rolling 5 year manpower and resourcing plan.
Coach the development of PI System skills.
Ensure that the complexity of the infrastructure is adequately addressed.
Ensure that the PI System is available 24x7, including all its components.
Set up effective interfaces with the IRC provider (Shell) via Technical Service Agreements for IT/IM Services for supported applications.
Merge the IRC Provider culture and standards with the new Company and, specifically, the new IT/IM Department in the Corporate Services Directorate for supported applications.
Provide the IT/IM services for a flawless restart amidst challenges of short term business needs to drastically reduce staff count and costs. Retain critical knowledge.
Manage a services and projects budget of 4 MUSD per year.
