Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering (Oceanographic or Meteorological degree preferred), Civil Engineering
Must have 6-7 years of practical experience in offshore MetOcean surveys and MetOcean station maintenance.
Must have 5 years of practical experience in MetOcean datasets, QC and reporting
Experienced in the use of basic Ice & MetOcean analysis tools.
Proficient with MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS word and basic programming skills.
Ability to learn and speak English and Russian or Kazakh in a business environment is considered a significant
advantage.

Responsibilities:

Provision of technical and analytical expertise in the area of meteorology and oceanography;

Provide mentorship (mentoring, coaching), technical support and direction to other team members and act as the focal point for key project initiatives.

Design and develop technical reference documentation, guidelines, standards, procedures, and processes;

Produce metocean design criteria for coastal and offshore structures;

Provision of modelling and metocean input for the projects;

Conducting specific studies and other research assignments related to NE Caspian climatological phenomena  and Caspian Sea fluctuation

Development and maintenance of the Metocean database and associated processes, including data QA/QC;

Management of offshore and onshore data acquisition requirements;

Support projects in planning and execution through ongoing operational Ice and metocean service;

Development and application of appropriate methodologies and best practices related to specific technical areas in support of the business needs.
